Baseball time...

I am a year behind, but finally getting to Baily's very first baseball season at Buckhorn Middle!  He loves baseball!  This layout is him on 1st getting ready to steal to 2nd.  You can see the intensity in his eyes.  The title of LO is "add..." which is what the base coaches tell the base runners when they want them to take another step.

Freaky Friday

It is Freaky Friday Challenge time over at scrapfreak!  This was a challenge for me.  For our Trends and Design Challenge it was to create a LO using Graphs and Infographics.  So I went for the circle graph and boy it harder to get that circle just right!! BUT I love the finished product!

So my graph was all about my plans for 2012!  Some of my plans are to:

1. Read more.

2. Bake and try recipes.

3.  Enjoy Life!

4. Have more family nights.

5.  Read and Study my Bible more.

6. Go on more date nights with my guy!

7.  Hang out with my friends more.

8.  Travel--we plan to go to DC and NYC this summer.

MOVE...RUN...

I was off Tuesday and did some scrapping!  I found this old picture of E the day we moved into our house here in Alabama.  It had been a crazy week.  We packed up our house in Indiana and headed for Alabama.  We had to spend a week living in a hotel waiting to close on our house.  School started while we living in the hotel, too.  So when Friday finally got there and we got move into the house we were all just ready to get our beds set up so we could sleep good for a night.  Poor E just needed to find his blankie and he was out!

I had to do a LO using a picture with no people! EEK!  I found this one of my running shoes and decided it was scrap worthy.  Those shoes were a Christmas present in 2010 and I spent all of 2011 running 5K's in them.  Actually, I am still using these shoes thing it is time for a new pair!

Freaky Friday & Day 3...

It is Freaky Friday over at scrapfreak & this week's challenge is softness! Create a LO using soft colors, lace and large amounts of neutral space. I did this LO of my brother and Carrie on there wedding day.

Day 3 of the 14 days of Valentines!

If you watch basketball you know that a school in Western Kentucky is the ONLY undefeated team in the NCAA! That is Murray State University!! GO RACERS! On cold evening in February 1995 I was spending the night with a friend at the Embassy Apartments because I had a big test the next morning. Her neighbor ended up having a few of his frat brothers over to celebrate because he was elected President. I tried my best to study, but ended up over at Bobby's and from across the room I saw Kevo and knew I had to met this guy. By the end of the evening we had met and had a really great talk. The next week Bobby told me that I was invited to a family party at the Sigma Chi house because Kevin wanted to see me again! WOOHOO! So I grabbed a couple friends and went. Later that evening he asked me out on a date and I said yes! A week later we went on our first date to the Apple and the rest is history!

Here we are 17 years later--my sweetie getting his gift!

Just what he had been wanting a new Murray State T-Shirt!

Of course, I had to get myself one, too!

This was last January when we finally got a good snow in Alabama! We were so excited and had so much fun playing in it! Wish it would get cold this year and give us at least one good snow!

This was Labor Day weekend 2000! We flew to Kentucky when E was about 8 weeks old and the Rutherford family go to met our sweet E for the first time! In this picture is Uncle Darrell holding E, Lori and Bay.

Rainy Day Scrapping...

So it is another rain filled day here in Alabama! YUCK! I decided to scrap the afternoon away. I found these 2 pictures in an old album and thought they would be perfect to scrap for Baily's book. He misses his Uncle Darrell a lot and talks about him all the time. He was just 5 days old in these pictures. Darrell was helping Lori hold Baily. She was so excited to have a new baby cousin and Darrell was happy to have a nephew.

I know I got carried away with the mist, but what can I say! I love how this LO turned out and can't wait to show everyone when they get home this evening. Thanks to Bird Is The Word for the REMEMBER and thanks to sketchabilities for the awesome sketch!

Sketches make the scrappy world go around! Over at PageMaps Blog they have a fun sketch contest going on and I decided to give it a go. Last January we got our first big snow since moving to Alabama! It was almost 8 inches of snow and boy did we have fun playing in it.

We didn't have a sled (never snows enough here) so we took one of the boys skim boards and hooked it up to the 4 wheeler and had a blast! This LO is of E crashing and burning as they went around the curve to fast.

I also want to give a shout out to my sweet Bay! He is 14 today!

A scrappy good day...

What a fabulous day it has been! The sun has been shining all day long and it isn't super cold out like the other day! Plus, I got my house cleaned this morning and spent the afternoon scrapping! YEAH!

Here is a LO I did for My Mind's Eye Blog Challenge #31. What a fun sketch to work with and I found the perfect picture of my boys to scrap! This is Bay holding E when he was just a couple days old. It was an instant bond between them and I have enjoyed watching it grow over the years!

Here are a couple cards I made! The Wonderful Wednesday Card Challenge over at scrapfreak is to EMBOSS a card! It was a great excuse to get out my cuttlebug embossing folders! Why is it you always forget you have those!?!?
