Tally Idol #4

Over a TallyScrappers I got to do the Tally Idol Challenge #4 and my challenge was all about MADONNA!!! I grew up listening to her and I am in my 30's and still listening to her. So my challenge was to pick a LO in your Tally Treasure and reinvent it just like Madonna reinvented herself with each album she did. You also had to use one of her song titles as the title of your LO and have yellow or tan in your LO to represent her being a LEO.

Here is my LO for the challenge! I used her song "Cherish" as my title. This picture is very special to me--it was taken just after my fil came hom from the hospital. We were told he had a mass on his brain and that it was growing rapidly. They gave him 6-12 months to live. Thankfully we went to Vanderbilt and got a 2nd opinion. The doctor did brain surgery to see what is was and try to remove it. It ended up being scar tissue from the cancer he had in 2001. After the surgery he was doing great, but got a brain bled and nearly died. They had to go back in and operate again. After a long 6 months of recovery he was back home. On top of all that my bil was diagnosed with cancer, too. He has gone through 2 types of chemo and a bone marrow transplant. It will be a year in April since his transplant and he is finally starting to heal.

I had someone take this picture of us in the fall of 2008 thinking it might be the last family picture we take together, but thanks to the power of pray and the good Lord above we will have many more family pictures!
