I awoke around 4 AM thinking my water had broke. I had went to the doctor the day before. He had told me that I could go at anytime and that I was already between 4 and 5 centimeters. So I woke Kevin up and said "I think its time". He jumped out of the bed and into his jeans, grabbed my bag and said he was ready. It was so funny--I was still just laying in the bed trying to process what was happening! Here I am 24 and fixing to become a momma. I was scared to death!!
Hard to believe that was 15 years ago! Plus this morning I took him to get his Drivers Permit! WOW! Where did the time go?!?! Seems like just yesterday he was waking me up 3 and 4 times a night because I couldn't keep him full. I still can't keep him full, but he is sleeping through the night now.
I am very proud of the young man he is! I love that he does not try to be something he is not and doesn't try to be like everyone else. He just is who he is! He happens to be a sweet and fun-loving boy. He loves the Lord and is a Christian. To know that fills my heart with joy!
Today with his permit! Congrats!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Bailey. I remember that day too. Mema was here at a doctors appt. and she was dying to finish up and head your way to see the new baby. Life moves quickly, doesn't it? So lucky to share it with a big family.
